Norway’s largest recruitment arena within oil, gas and energy is called OTD Young Professional, and constitute a significant part of this year’s OTD2011 Stavanger. Not only does it draw a large number of visiting students, but representatives for the business has now started to notice in earnest that this is the place to do recruitment.

Currently there is only one stand space left for companies at this year’s Young Professionals, leader of OTD Young Professionals, Lars-Jørgen Solvi, says. More than 30 companies are active participants, represented by such varied actors as Aker Solutions, ConocoPhilips, Det Norske Veritas, Oljedirektoratet and Sintef Petroleum Research, to mention a few.

OTD Young Professionals has arranged subsidised transport for participants from all over the country. Students are flown in from Trondheim, Oslo and Agder, while the OTD boat picks up participants from both Bergen and Haugesund.

Not only is the participation and interest great, but this year’s OTD Young Professionals is offering the best package of all times where we have prepared some easy ways for the students/new employees and the business to get in touch.

The purpose of OTD Young Professionals is to give the participants professional input, insight into the business and an overview over job opportunities. At the same time we have arranged for you to gain new acquaintances and perhaps also meet your future employer.

OTD Young Professionals is a large toolbox with events that bring students/new employees and the business closer together. During Guided Tours companies showcase themselves and their technical solutions. At Recruitment Lounge students and new employees present themselves for potential future employers, while Speed Interview is the arena where companies meet hand-picked candidates for interview rounds.

In addition there will be professional input through OTD Student Seminars, while network building and social interaction reach their heights at the events OTD Student Night, OTD Concert and OTD Young Professionals Kick Off.
