Who can you meet at OTD Energy Stavanger

OTD Energy has a long tradition of being an efficient meeting place where suppliers, contractors, and operators come together to explore new solutions, conduct business, build networks, maintain customer and supplier relationships, stay informed about market trends, and recruit new employees. In recent years, we have observed a growing trend where major industry players send their entire purchasing departments to OTD Energy.

In 2023, the event in Stavanger attracted 18,000 visitors. An analysis of that year’s attendance shows that approximately 40% of participants came from major operating companies and contractors. Additionally, 54% represented supplier companies, while the remaining 6% were students from energy-related fields of study.

Visitors primarily came from the petroleum and maritime industries. However, in recent years, we have seen an increasing number of attendees from emerging players in the renewable energy sector. At the same time, several companies have also been diversifying into renewable energy.

The survey further indicates that 17.1% of visitors held directorships, while 27.5% were managers. This means that 44.6% of participants at OTD Energy occupied positions with decision-making authority. Additionally, 11.5% of visitors were engineers, 10.6% worked in purchasing or project management, and 9.4% held sales positions.
